10 Corso Como's New Era: Art, Fashion, and Design Fusion
10 Corso Como, an iconic cornerstone of Milanese culture and style, announces the eagerly-awaited reopening of its newly reimagined spaces. The Gallery and Project Room, nestled on the second floor of this celebrated venue, have undergone a transformative redesign by the visionary interdisciplinary agency 2050+, under the guidance of Tiziana Fausti.
Marking its return as a pivotal space for cultural diffusion, the exhibition floor invites the public to explore a rich tapestry of international visual arts, fashion, design, and publishing. Visitors are offered an unparalleled journey of discovery, moving in an ascending climax from the dynamic Project Room to the elegantly curated Gallery.
Envisioned as a versatile theater of creativity, the Gallery and Project Room have been reconceptualized as fluid, modular spaces. The Project Room, adorned with large pantograph tables, and the Gallery, with its movable self-supporting walls, offer endless curatorial possibilities. These innovative design elements enable flexible transformations, seamlessly blending into the unique architecture of 10 Corso Como.
In sync with February's Women's Fashion Week, the Gallery proudly debuts "Happy Birthday Louise Parker," a solo exhibition by the acclaimed American photographer Roe Ethridge. Curated by Alessandro Rabottini, this exhibition, conceived specifically for 10 Corso Como, marks Ethridge’s first solo showcase in Italy. Renowned for his lyrical, provocative style, Ethridge blurs the lines between artistic exploration and commercial photography, weaving a rich dialogue between art and fashion, personal narratives, and photographic history.
The Project Room, ever-evolving in its configuration, opens with a fresh perspective that navigates the realms of publishing, art, and design. Its inaugural exhibition, "Pietro Consagra: Ornaments," curated by Alessio de'Navasques, revisits a unique chapter in Pietro Consagra's artistic journey. This collection, a collaboration from 1969 with the famed jewelry workshop GEM GianCarlo Montebello, showcases Consagra's venture into sculptural face masks and body ornaments, blending art and adornment in an intimate narrative.
10 Corso Como’s latest chapter promises to be a vibrant epicenter of cultural exchange, a testament to the ever-evolving dialogue between diverse creative disciplines. This reinvention not only reaffirms its status as a beacon of contemporary culture but also sets a new standard for interdisciplinary cultural spaces worldwide.
