The first two days of Metaverse Fashion Week 2025: Fluid Futures, Digital Selves, and New Silhouettes

The first two days of Metaverse Fashion Week 2025 have set the stage for a bold reimagining of fashion in the digital age. From sculptural runways to deeply personal panels, the virtual landscape of Decentraland is pulsing with creativity, culture, and conversation. Be sure to check the full calendar to catch all remaining events and make the most of what’s still to come.

Day One: Expression, Identity & Imagination

The week launched with a striking showcase by Roustan, whose dreamlike digital silhouettes blurred the lines between code and couture. With surreal volumes and glitch-kissed textures, Roustan reminded us that in the metaverse, the body is a canvas—and fashion, a fluid language.

One of the most moving moments came from the “Banners We Wear” competition, where Tulasi Parmar won the $10,000 award for Father’s Trade—a digital work of art weaving themes of memory, lineage, and resistance into a bold visual statement.

The day’s thought leadership kicked off with Virtual Identities, featuring @TheGirlsplainer, @UnionAvatars, @blakebeyond, and @baybackner. The panel explored how avatars are reshaping self-expression and challenging our understanding of identity, embodiment, and agency in virtual spaces.

Later, 5 Years of Virtual Fashion in Decentraland took a retrospective look at the evolution of digital style, led by @DOCTORdrippNFT, @CanessaDCL, @BayBackner, and @davidcummings. Together, they traced the rise of wearables from grassroots experiments to a vibrant, economy-shaping culture.

Cyberdog stormed the metaverse runway with a rave-infused collection bursting with cyber-streetwear energy. Glowing hardware, neon palettes, and body-modded avatars collided in a dystopian dance of digital rebellion. It was loud, unapologetic, and very on-brand.

DCL Japan followed with an evocative showcase merging traditional Japanese design elements with cutting-edge digital aesthetics. From kimono-inspired silhouettes to futuristic materials, the showcase offered a poetic dialogue between heritage and hyperreality.

On the panel front, Fashion × Gaming: Dressing the Digital Playground brought together creators and curators from both industries to explore how in-game fashion is shaping style culture across worlds. From character skins to interoperable wearables, the discussion traced how gaming is not just influencing fashion—it is fashion, for an entire generation.

With two days still to go, Metaverse Fashion Week 2025 is only gaining momentum. Check out the full calendar here. The intersection of fashion, identity, and technology has never felt more alive—and it’s happening in pixels.
