Digital dreams and physical fashion co-exist with Moncler and Lulu Li’s new era of design

Moncler x Lulu Li is a striking fusion of digital artistry and tangible craftsmanship. In this pioneering collaboration, Chinese artist Lulu Li—renowned for her digital creations—brings her AI-powered designs into the physical realm for the first time. Known for her innovative work in blending digital and physical fashion, Lulu Li, founder of the design studio Didelidi, has crafted a capsule collection that is both functional and forward-thinking, reimagining the boundaries of modern fashion.

The collection, which debuts globally on October 28, with an exclusive pre-launch at Harrods on October 20, showcases Moncler’s technical innovation alongside Lulu’s minimalist yet deeply cultural aesthetic. The pieces range from oversized down jackets to city-ready layers, merging Moncler’s boundary-pushing craftsmanship with Lulu’s conceptual designs. While many digital artists embrace the hyper-surrealism that AI tools like Midjourney can offer, Lulu takes a different approach—one that seeks to ground the extraordinary in physical reality. By drawing inspiration from classic fashion photography and everyday wear, she transforms digital dreams into wearable, street-ready pieces.

At the heart of the Moncler x Lulu Li collection lies a delicate balance between the hypermodern and the timeless. The collection is deeply informed by Zen Buddhist principles and the rich cultural heritage of ancient China, weaving themes of minimalism, modularity, and technical craftsmanship into every piece. The hybrid functionality of the collection is evident in its emphasis on iconic workwear and casualwear, reinterpreted for the future.

This collaboration isn’t just about translating pixels into fabrics; it’s about exploring the future of fashion through AI and digital tools while staying connected to traditional design values. By blending her digital creations with Moncler’s expertise in outerwear, Lulu Li demonstrates how AI can serve as a bridge between imagination and reality, and how technology can redefine what fashion can achieve.
