    Dive inside the Highlights from Fashion Metaverse Conference 2024

    In a groundbreaking convergence of fashion, technology, and art, the Fashion Metaverse Conference 2024 (#FMC24) showcased the vibrant potential of the digital realm. Held over four days, the conference unfolded across nine captivating metaverse spaces on Spatial, where attendees immersed themselves in a dynamic ecosystem of digital garments, virtual runways, and AI-driven designs.

    From March 26th to March 29th, industry luminaries, thought leaders, and digital pioneers delved deep into the realms of digital fashion, Web3 technologies, AI creativity, and artistic expression. Moderated by Aditya Mani, the conference featured over 70 pioneering speakers who offered comprehensive insights into the innovative landscape of web3.0.

    A highlight of #FMC24 was the AI artist open call, which garnered over 200 submissions and showcased the creative talents shaping the future of AI fashion. The finalists' pieces were celebrated in #IruleStore, sparking captivating discussions on the intersection of AI and creativity. IRA X LAB X 9DGHOST displayed the final selected artwork, providing attendees with an immersive experience that blurred the lines between reality and imagination.

    At the heart of the Marthaverse, Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld exhibited artworks alongside mesmerizing creations from Nova Lorraine and Baris Gencel. Each piece served as a portal to new worlds, inviting exploration and contemplation. Attendees were transported on a journey of discovery, guided by Dr. Martha, Nova, and Baris, as they explored the narrative-rich landscapes of the Marthaverse.

    Organized by YIQIN(Isola) ZHU, in collaboration with Alexander Aleksashev-Arno and the Choice LGBTQIA+ Family, the Fashion Metaverse Conference 2024 marked not just the culmination of an event, but the beginning of a journey towards a more vibrant and interconnected digital future. Through immersive experiences, thought-provoking discussions, and creative showcases, #FMC24 paved the way for a new era of innovation and exploration in the multidimensional realms of fashion.

    Day 1: Exploring the Digital Fashion Frontier 

    The conference kicked off with Aditya Mani leading the opening session, setting the stage for a series of insightful discussions. Blake Lezenski, Partner Program Director at Outlier Ventures, delivered a thought-provoking speech on the challenges of mass adoption in digital fashion, emphasizing the importance of interoperability. Barbara Fontana Ozawa, Founder of Eretikos iki Digital Fashion Studio, delved into leveraging AI for sustainable fashion output, while Alessandro De Angelis shed light on EU funding opportunities for projects like the Phygital Integration HUB. 

    The spectrum of digital fashion was explored further by Olivia Lee, Astrid Pilla, and Louise Laing, each offering unique perspectives on the intersection of virtual, online, and real-world fashion. The panel on GreenTech Innovations, moderated by Kuan-Ning T, featured insightful contributions from Dirk Lohmann, Juliane Kahl, Thakane Bazill, Florian Suckfüll, and Tomal K. Ganguly, highlighting the imperative of sustainability and digital passports in the fashion industry. 

    Svetlana Yakunina and Adriana Krawcewicz brought their expertise to a panel discussing the fusion of digital fashion and AI. As cross-industry creative strategists, their insights provided valuable perspectives on the synergies between fashion, technology, and web3.

    The first day was closed off by Gloria Maria Cappelletti, Editor in Chief & Creative Director at RED-EYE, whose speech on AI and fashion self-expression provided a fitting conclusion to a day filled with forward-thinking insights and discussions.

    In addition to the main sessions, attendees were treated to an array of after parties and giveaways. The after party, hosted by PinkCryptoBabe, offered attendees an opportunity to unwind and connect with fellow participants in a digital fashion setting. Moreover, various official events provided exciting giveaways, including avatars and wearables, courtesy of IRA X LAB, Snova Verse, and #Marthaverse, adding an extra layer of engagement and excitement to the conference experience.





    Day 2: Navigating Web3 and Community Dynamics

    Day 2 unfolded with discussions on the future of the internet, loyalty, and personalization, led by Aditya Mani and featuring industry stalwarts like Sander Gansen, Nizzar Ben Chekroune, and Armin ZadakBar. The sessions delved into the emergence of Web3 communities and their intersection with fashion, tourism, and decentralized architectures. Carlo Moretti's insights into NFT Rome and Michele Ruberl's exploration of real vertical cases in tourism underscored the transformative potential of Web3 technologies.

    Panels led by Ooli Shannon de Villèle, Roy Bernheim, and Americo Cacciapuoti further elucidated the role of on-chain communities and tokenized real-world assets in driving innovation within the fashion landscape. Maxximillian.eth and Michele Zanello offered captivating speeches on digital fashion runways and leveraging spatial computing for marketing strategies, respectively. The day concluded with enlightening discussions on off-chain communities, metaverse experiences, and the virtual world in augmented reality.





    Day 3: Unveiling the Power of AI in Fashion and Art

    The conference continued its exploration of innovation with a focus on AI in fashion and art. Robert Vicencio's speech on the disruption of AI in the entertainment industry set the tone for discussions on AI-driven sustainability, creativity, and blockchain as a medium. Panels featuring industry experts such as Nova Lorraine, Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld, and Stella Achenbach delved into the latest trends at the intersection of digital fashion, AI, and Web3, underscoring the profound impact of these technologies on shaping the metaverse.

    The day closed off with thought-provoking speeches by Hugo Barbera and Jens Laugesen, highlighting the expansive creative terrain enabled by AI in fashion design. All sessions offered a glimpse into the future of digital fashion and AI as indispensable tools for creative expression and design strategy.





    Day 4: Celebrating Artistic Expression in the Metaverse

    The final day of the conference celebrated artistic expression and creativity in the metaverse. Yuliya Ovcharyk's presentation on digital fashion and the artist's path set the stage for an open call artist speech moderated by Lauren Kacher. Abdulwahed Mohammed and IRA X LAB shared their insights into the journey of digital fashion and metaverse building, while panels featuring Roei Derhi and Canberk Karakaş explored the evolving landscape of digital fashion and brand art direction. 

    The Fashion Metaverse Conference 2024 was a testament to the transformative potential of digital fashion, Web3, AI, and art in shaping the future of the industry. Through insightful speeches, engaging panels, and open discussions, the conference showcased the fusion of innovation and creativity, paving the way for a new era of fashion in the metaverse. As the boundaries between physical and digital realms continue to blur, the conference served as a catalyst for collaboration and exploration, driving the industry towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and technologically advanced future.
