The world of fashion is undergoing a radical transformation, and the frontier of this evolution lies in the virtual realms. From April 9 to 12, Metaverse Fashion Week will take center stage in Decentraland with a vibrant showcase of virtual style, bringing together over 300 designers, tech innovators and fashion pioneers for a groundbreaking exploration of fashion's digital future. As virtual wearables continue to redefine self-expression, this year’s MVFW offers an immersive journey into the future of fashion—where creativity, sustainability, and technology merge in ways never seen before.
“This year’s Metaverse Fashion Week comes at a critical moment for fashion and our society at large; one marked by rethinking priorities, authenticity, and connection," says Bay Backner, Head Producer of MVFW.
With an exciting lineup of panels, runway shows, and interactive experiences, attendees will explore key themes shaping digital fashion today, from avatar identity to sustainability and monetization in virtual worlds. Day 1: Reflecting on Five Years of Virtual Fashion
The event will launch on April 9 with “Decentraland 101: Learnings from Five Years of Virtual Fashion,” a discussion featuring David Cummings of Metaskins, digital artist DOCTORdripp, renowned body painter Roustan, and Decentraland Ambassador Coordinator Canessa. Moderated by Bay Backner, Head Producer & Curator at Decentraland Foundation, the panel will delve into the evolution of virtual fashion and its impact on digital identity.
A Runway Takeover by Roustan will follow, showcasing the intersection of traditional body painting and digital fashion. Later, the panel “Virtual Identities: How Avatars Are Shaping Self-Expression & Self-Perception” will feature industry leaders such as CEO of Union Avatars Cai Felip and Camilla Brossa CEO of Caia consulting, discussing the transformative power of avatars.
The evening culminates with the "Announcing the Winners of The Banners We Wear" runway and panel at 9:00pm. Decentraland’s inaugural MVFW Prize unveils deeply personal collections from emerging designers. With a $15,000 prize pool, this unique competition challenged designers globally to create digital wearables that convey powerful messages about identity, activism, and resilience. Winning entries will debut on a dedicated runway, spotlighting urgent social narratives and elevating voices often marginalized in mainstream fashion. In addition, Fashion journalist Patty Huntington, Fashion Business programme leader at Istituto Marangoni Nathalie Tessier, and digital rights advocate Emma Shapiro will discuss the intersection of fashion, art, and identity. The day closes with an Opening Party featuring a Decentraland Japan runway at 10:00pm UTC, blending traditional and futuristic aesthetics.

Day 2: Fashion Meets Gaming and AI Innovation
Thursday, April 10, dives into the fusion of fashion and interactive worlds with the "Fashion x Gaming: Understanding The Rise of Wearables in Playable Worlds" panel at 5:00pm UTC. Moderated by Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro, a leading voice in digital fashion education, the discussion will include Alexander McKinney-Raphelt (Head of Art at Ready Player Me), Clare Tattersall (Founder of Digital Fashion Week), Clément Foucher (Co-founder of POWER.xyz) and Andrea Albrizio (Founder of Antreal).
The Cyberdog Runway at 6:00pm UTC will unleash a cyberpunk-inspired fashion spectacle, followed by the WIP Meetup, a networking event for creators. At 9:00pm UTC, the "Wearables Around The World" runway will highlight global digital fashion trends. The night’s finale is the "Co-Creating with AI: How Designers x Algorithms are Rethinking Fashion" panel at 10:00pm UTC, featuring Naika Colas (Parsons School of Design), GLITCHOFMIND (INTERLÔR Atelier), and Pedro Guez (ASVOFF AI Fashion Film Curator), exploring how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing design.

Day 3: The Future of Phygital Fashion and Digital Streetwear
On Friday, April 11 at 3:00pm UTC, the spotlight shines on Latin American and Spanish digital fashion innovation with the "Avatares y Moda" panel, featuring an extraordinary lineup of creators and thought leaders. The discussion will be expertly moderated by Javi🥥 (Builder at Nouns Amidos and Decentraland Ambassador) and Luna (Phygital Fashion Designer at Metamerch), who bring their deep expertise in Web3 community building and hybrid physical-digital design. They'll be joined by pioneering panelists including Diana Cañas (CEO of 10ka), who revolutionized digital fashion with NFT/NFC technology; Danelson "The Highgineer" Maldonado González (Co-Founder of Spatialgineer), blending Puerto Rican creativity with spatial computing; Wildy Martinez (Artist at Wildflower Fields), a veteran fashion designer pushing boundaries between physical and digital mediums; and Chama Candela, the Caribbean multidisciplinary artist known for vibrant, animated virtual worlds. Together, this diverse group will explore how digital fashion and avatar identity are evolving across Spanish-speaking communities, sharing unique insights on cultural representation, technological innovation, and the future of wearable art in the metaverse.
At 5:00pm UTC, the "Future of Digital Streetwear" panel, moderated by Kim Currier (Head of Partnerships and Marketing at the Decentraland Foundation), will explore NFT fashion drops and virtual runways with Marco Stagliano (CEO of Another-1), Jess Wiseman (Founder of Figuregot), Román Iglesias (Ceo of Murph) and Daniel Face (Editorial Director of RED-EYE). The event follows with the "Phygital Fashion & Future Retail" panel at 7:00pm UTC, moderated by Kadine James (The Immersive KIND) featuring Dmytro Kornilov (CEO of FFFACE.ME) and Lauren Kacher (Founder Alterrage), discussing augmented reality wearables and AI styling.
The day will close with a selection of innovative film screening which will include a special RED-EYE ai fashion curation dubbed 'Alterwear'.

Day 4: Runway Extravaganza & Grand Finale
The final day of MVFW25 delivers a spectacular lineup of runway shows and celebrations, beginning at 5:00pm UTC with the highly-anticipated Cyberdog Runway, showcasing futuristic cyberpunk-inspired digital fashion. At 6:00pm UTC, the energy shifts to urban creativity with the Free The Youth Runway, highlighting emerging streetwear designers pushing boundaries in virtual fashion.
The evening reaches its visual peak at 7:00pm UTC with the Banners We Wear Runway, displaying the most innovative digital garments from this year's competition. Film enthusiasts won't want to miss the 8:00pm UTC Fashion Film Screenings, featuring groundbreaking short films at the intersection of fashion and technology.
As the clock strikes midnight UTC (0:00am UTC April 13), we'll bring the house down with our epic Closing Party, where attendees can celebrate four incredible days of digital fashion innovation.
