The Charming World of ROCHAS: Autumn/Winter 2024-25 Collection

Introducing the mesmerizing world of ROCHAS' Autumn Winter 2024-25 collection, where elegance intertwines with modern fantasy. Crafted by the visionary Alessandro Vigilante, this collection pays homage to Marcel Rochas' iconic legacy and the opulence of 1930s Europe.

Entitled "Fairytales For Adults," the presentation unfolds within the storied walls of the Hôtel d’Evreux on the illustrious Place Vendôme, enveloped in hues of hibiscus pink. Drawing inspiration from a 1939 photograph by Carlo Mollino, each garment embodies feminine grace and dreams manifested into reality.

With a palette of jewel tones and shimmering textures, the collection beckons you on a journey through opulent silhouettes, from trousseau to boudoir and beyond. Join us as we delve into the enchanting narrative of ROCHAS' Autumn/Winter 2024-25 collection—a testament to sophistication, sensuality, and timeless allure.

The wardrobe of Rochas women, for this inaugural season of Alessandro Vigilante, becomes a mirror of women's identity, a place where they can play with their imagination. The satin of the dresses blends with art objects that reflect the designer's creative mind. Not only dresses are concealed, but also pieces of Vigilante's interiority and emotions.

From the intimate embrace of lingerie to the comforting allure of robes, everyday attire blossoms into a symphony of relaxed volumes and sensual textures. Through pieces like the brown and yellow striped wool jacquard coat, the designer highlights the ability to anticipate and understand women's desires, as Marcel Rochas claimed, embracing their leadership and freedom of movement. As a former contemporary dance dancer, Vigilante understands that a dress comes to life only when a woman wears it, moving with grace and embodying her personality.

All the fabrics of his collection are specially made by Marcel Rochas' suppliers, inspired by the lines and details of the 1920s and 1930s. Paying homage to Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and even surrealism, it reflects his connection with Paris and its artistic ferment.

Lace, in particular, plays a central role, evoking the sensation of a second skin, not only sensual but also symbolic. We see stockings and dresses with unique designs, inspired by the packaging of Marcel Rochas' perfume Femme.

The process of making some garments is long and artisanal, requiring up to 72 hours of work for every detail. For example, the silver skirt takes inspiration from the beauty of curly hair. In his search for the perfect colors, he introduced "Hibiscus Pink," which envelops the collection in set design, a warm and enveloping shade that invites fantasy. This color, along with others like "Margarita Green" and "Bleached Apricot," is part of a collection inspired by Marcel Rochas' archive, found in Paris at Rue de l'Université.

A tapestry of legacy and innovation, Rochas' Autumn/Winter 2024-25 collection stands as a testament to Vigilante's vision—a celebration of Marcel Rochas' timeless influence, reimagined for the modern muse. Through archives rich with history and inspiration, Vigilante breathes life into each piece, ensuring that Rochas continues to pave the way forward, honoring the legacy of a design luminary.
