weiræn Presents COLLECTION 02 Concept Film "OsteoLux" in Collaboration with Director and Multi-Disciplinary Artist Curry Tian

weiræn, a trailblazing fashion label known for its avant-garde approach to design, has unveiled its third collection through a mesmerizing concept film titled "OsteoLux." This collaboration with director and multi-disciplinary artist Curry Tian brings a new dimension to the collection, following its debut at Shanghai Fashion Week earlier this year. This collection marked the label’s inaugural runway show in China, drawing significant attention for its innovative designs and conceptual depth.

Inspired by the diverse forms of plants and objects, COLLECTION 02 captures the interplay between aggressive and soft elements found in nature and the human body. This serves as a departure point to explore various materials, forms, colors, and sensory experiences through weiræn’s signature elements—intricate knitwear, ever-evolving metal, and transparent experiments. The collection is a testament to the label’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of fashion by blending natural elements with cutting-edge design techniques.

"OsteoLux," the conceptual film, takes this exploration further by delving into the duality of light and shadow, positive and negative space, reality and illusion, fluidity and solidity, softness and strength. The name itself is a fusion of "Osteo" (bone) and "Lux" (luxury), symbolizing the luxurious aspect of the body and structure. Through this experimental film, Curry Tian and WeiRan reimagine the collection’s concept, presenting a visual narrative that emphasizes the profound connection between the physical body and garments.

The film’s imagery is striking, featuring skeletal garments that appear to emerge organically from the body. This symbolizes the delicate balance between fragility and fortitude that defines the human condition. The skeletal forms highlight the intricate relationship between the body and garments, suggesting that clothing is not just an external layer but an extension of our physical selves. This concept challenges traditional notions of fashion by presenting garments as integral to our identity and physicality.

Curry Tian’s direction adds a layer of enigma and depth to the film. Known for her ability to blend various artistic disciplines, Tian’s vision brings a unique perspective to the project. Her work on "OsteoLux" emphasizes the themes of duality and transformation, creating a sensory experience that is both thought-provoking and visually stunning.

Overall, "OsteoLux" is a groundbreaking project that showcases weiræn’s innovative approach to fashion design. The collaboration with Curry Tian has resulted in a film that not only highlights the collection’s unique elements but also explores deeper themes related to the human body and its connection to clothing. This project positions weiræn at the forefront of the fashion industry, pushing the boundaries of what fashion can be and how it can be experienced.
